Procurement Officer

Job Overview

We are recruiting a Procurement Officer with 1–2 years of experience, preferably within the mining sector. The role requires strong understanding of the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, price comparison, and purchase order (PO) management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle including sourcing, negotiation, price comparison, and PO awarding
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and operational requirements
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal value
• Collaborate with logistics and technical teams to support efficient supply chain operations
• Monitor procurement data to identify cost‑saving opportunities and mitigate supply risks
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and cost control
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Tanzanian regulatory requirements
• Utilize SAP for procurement management, reporting, and documentation

Qualifications & Experience

• 1–2 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within the mining sector
• Experience handling local tender processes
• Proficiency in SAP is mandatory
• PSPTB certification (mandatory)
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and projects under pressure
