Job Title: Executive / Sr. Executive / Asst. Manager - Purchase
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in procurement and strong working knowledge of SAP. The candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, vendor coordination, and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services in line with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including purchase requisition processing, RFQ, vendor selection, negotiation, and purchase order creation.
- Operate and manage procurement activities within the SAP platform (MM module preferred).
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand material requirements and timelines.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery timelines, and reliability.
- Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials/services.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and local regulations in Tanzania.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and MIS reports using SAP and Excel.
- Handle invoice verification and coordinate with finance for timely payments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B.Tech / MBA / Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
- 3–4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
- Hands-on experience with SAP (preferably SAP MM module).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Tanzania or East African markets.
- Knowledge of local supplier networks and procurement regulations.
