Career Directions Limited (CDL) is recruiting an experienced Commercial Manager for its client, an established logistics, freight forwarding and supply chain business operating in Tanzania.
The client has more than 20 years of industry experience, over 300 employees and an international logistics network.
The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, commercial strategy, business development and customer acquisition across logistics and freight forwarding services.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement commercial strategies to increase revenue and profitability.

Lead sales and business development teams to achieve performance targets.

Identify new markets, customers and strategic partnerships.

Manage commercial budgets, sales forecasts and performance indicators.

Build relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders.

Develop sales pipelines and oversee contract negotiations.
-
Expand business across freight forwarding, customs clearance, transportation and warehousing services.

Lead marketing strategies and customer retention initiatives.
-
Monitor market trends and identify profitable business opportunities.
-
Support mergers, acquisitions and strategic partnerships where applicable.

Report commercial performance to executive leadership.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.

MBA is an added advantage.

Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in sales, marketing or commercial management.

At least 5 years of B2B experience in logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain management.

Proven success in revenue growth, market expansion and commercial team leadership.

Strong understanding of import/export, customs clearance, transportation brokerage and multimodal freight services.

Experience with LCL, FCL, air, sea, road or rail freight solutions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems and sales automation tools.

Strong negotiation, strategic planning and financial analysis skills.

Experience working with executive management and presenting to boards.
